A lock up & go holiday home in a trendy beach town, kommetjie. My clients wanted a garden that was very low maintenance so that they could easily leave the garden unattended for weeks at a time. We also decided it was important to reduce the water consumption and remove all lawn. They love to entertain friends so we created an entertainment space at the bottom of the garden including a boule court. We re-tiled the pool and built a raised deck lounging platform with mountain views & feature trees cut into decking for dappled shade. new outdoor shower post-surf. The space is lovely and private with a mature, indigenous screening hedge around the boundary. All materials are considered and repeated to create an overall theme to the garden. I just love the new timber entrance cove and verge - giving this space lovely curb appeal to welcome friends!
